Holy shit, stop making RSS seem harder then it is... Its FIVE weeks long, get real, go to BUS/s and try to be a real warrior!

Woopse, need to correct myself (miss type) BUD/s...

I've been to BUD/S, and when I went down to RSS it was no walk in the park. There were some days that I hurt almost as much as I did in BUD/S. In addition to that, the academic portion after RSS, such as AW A-School, and AW FRAC, is incredibly challenging. You end up needing to know a ton of information to be a crewman in a helo.

Hahaha I'm on babumba's account I know who he is!

Here's another correction. "seem harder than it is," not then. Yeah BUD/s is the most difficult training in the world but that doesn't mean RSS isn't difficult. I'll be there this summer and it's not about being a "real warrior." You're comparing apples and oranges.

1)whoever got on the account...you're an idiot. You obviously don't know who "he" is because if you did then you would know that this is both my and my husbands account. and 2)All of our friends who dropped from BUD/s made it through RSS pretty easily. The only thing that has really seemed too difficult was Seer (sp) school and that is afterwards. School is just that-school. So study if it's too hard for you.
Im not saying that ... ( 3 months ago by babumba25)
Im not saying that if you are a RS its not a good job, because it is, its better then most. Im just saying stop makeing it out to be harder then it is. Personally i think people should need to go through some sort of "RSS" to even join the Navy, to many weak shitbags in the military
They're not making ... ( 3 months ago by jmorter)
They're not making it seem harder than it is. Just because you know people whe tired to go to BUD/s doesn't mean that everything else doesn't compare. they're equally difficult for what they prepare candidates for.
Most of my friends ... ( 3 months ago by aresye)
Most of my friends who went to BUD/S with me, ended up going to RSS afterwards. Most of them made it to Hell Week, some of them made it through. I myself was performance dropped due to run times right before Hell Week. Day 1 of RSS, most of us were smoked after the PT. The class after us did 25 pushups in the course of 40 minutes. No joke. I went through 3 weeks of Phase 1 BUD/S, and RSS was difficult for me as well.

Thet seems to me that you just wernt prepared for BUD/s much less RSS... (Not saying i "was" perpared for BUD/s) But the, holding in the up position, PT is dumb, and does nothing for you... "Per CrossFit instructers" Damn near my whole class in RSS was BUD/s guys and we went through RSS with not one washout and most of us did not fail even one evolution.
The only evolutions ... ( 2 months ago by aresye)
The only evolutions I failed in BUD/S were the runs. RSS I passed every physical evolution and PT test with no problems. It was the PT in the humid, 95 degree mornings that took its toll. A lot of us nearly passed out every PT morning. I don't know when you went through RSS, but I went through in late July/early August, and it was miserable.
Well failing the ... ( 2 months ago by babumba25)
Well failing the runs is a pretty big deal i would think. That means that your endurence is very low. I never failed one evolution for the time i was at BUD/s, RSS during moulage (if thats how its spelled) i jerked the guys head a bit and had to redo, other then that nothing was "hard"

All the SEALS I've EVER known have been a bunch of cocky shitheads. That doesn't mean they ALL are, but damn, a lot of them are.

I dont like the people that are "cocky", i would hope that they are mostly humble about themselves, but if you really think about it, becoming/being a SEAL is insane. I believe that when it comes down to it they have EVERY right to be cocky... Take Mike Murphy for example. That guy did shit that people cant even fathom, and he ended up giving his life for his brothers fighting next to him... Cocky is the least they should be.

Haha, bambumba your a quintessential seal groupie...your just another guy who couldn't handle bud/s. I find it hilarious that you take such pride in having gone there and failed. Does that really make you a badass? No..your just a badass groupie. Maybe you could go suck off my buddy..he's in third phase. He also shits lighting bolts and breaths fire...

Well, judging by your s/n, we're on the same path and have done the same things with our lives. It's just that I don't take kindly to people trashing a job thats hard in its own right. Of course it's no BUD/S but it's certainly not a walk in the park either. Bambumba just hasn't been able to wash that Coronado Bay sand out of his vagina yet. I respect SEALS, not SEAL groupies...
Hey Chris, i never ... ( 2 months ago by babumba25)
Hey Chris, i never said i was a "bad ass" not one time in ANY of my comments. So please stop adding things when they are not true. Im down to argue, but not if someone is going to make stuff up. This whole thing started because i said i think that people are making this program out to be harder then it is. I will admit that in one aspect you are almost correct, i didnt have what it took the first time i went to BUD/s, but next time wont be the same.
Your right, i do ... ( 2 months ago by babumba25)
Your right, i do take pride in going to BUD/s, just the fact that i tried to do somthing to that standard makes me better then you. Im sorry that your dream job is choice "B" for me. Anyways, if you truly thought RSS was in any way hard, then leave the Navy. Also Chris, where are you in the RSS/AW pipeline?
Funny thing i have ... ( 1 week ago by cellardoor199991)
Funny thing i have met plenty of Seals when stationed in coronado island.I also gradutaed from Aircrew candidate school (not rescue swimmer though) And every aircrew member was a fuckin cocky ass dipshit big headed motherfucker. And evey Seal i met was down to earth and nice and "blended in" with the rest of us. My experience is the opposite of urs. Aircrew r a bunch of cocky fuckers(not all of them) and the seal were down to earth and cool aircrew can kiss my ass. Glad i gotkicked out of that
dude, you just said ... ( 2 days ago by babumba25)
dude, you just said you are proud to be SAR crewman, and then you followed it up with a "OOOOHHHRAH!!!" if your not in the USMC then your an idiot. There is a right to be proud, sure, its a great job. But to be "cocky", about what? The fact that people go their whole 20 year career as a swimmer and get ZERO saves? Or the fact that they go a full 20 and NEVER hunt a live enemy sub. Yah man, be cocky about that all you want. You might want to humble yourself just a bit... Just a thought tho.
