911 had nothing to do with Iraq (Bush' words). By invading Iraq, Bush has generated a new birthplace for Terrorism. After 911, the US has arrested many many people without giving them a trial or legal counseling, has allowed torture to be tool, because they can't prove that 99% of them are terrorists, because they aren't. Terrorism, does.not.exist on the scale that Bush claims.

The founding Neo-Con "thinkers"--Irving Kristol, Wolfewitz, Ledeen, Podhoretz, Frum, Bill Kristol and Pearle are more concerned with Israel's agenda and well-being (by coincidence they all happen to be Jewish)than our own, they think working class american lives are not as valuable as Israeli lives or corporate profits, Their fascistic "ideas" have done unimaginable damage to this country and its place in this world. And the Bush/Cheney admin are even more culpable for implementing those ideas.

All I can add is that the influence of these tanks, both corporate and propagandistic, has fed talk radio, Fox "News" etc. I never thought people would get elected parroting the same b.s. as Rush Limbaugh et. al., but they were, and the results have been a comprehensive disaster.

The term "neoconservative" is misleading, for it is neither "neo" - new, nor is it "conservative." It isn't new is because the same policies have been exemplified in the policies of Bennito Mussolini, Ferenc Sz
álasi, Ion Victor Antonescu, and of course Adolf Hitler. Big government, over-spending, big business subsidies, foreign "hawk" interventionism is in no way, shape, or form "conservative." Mussolini defined fascism as the marriage of the Corporation and the State. Think about it.

Neoconservatives are Trotskyite Communists. Their origins are from early 1900's Russia, expatriates of the Czarist regime and followers of Karl Marx. After a brief alliance with the Wilsonians they abandoned the democrats and infiltrated the GOP in the late 60's-70's during the Reagan "Revolution".

uve twisted words on ur last line, mussolini never defined fascism as the marriage of the Corporation and the State, but rather of "corporatism" and the state, corporatism has nothing to do with the modern idea of what a corporation is but rather a union of labour and business working together for the good of the state. therefore the rest of ur assertions are built upon a less stable foundation.

Not genuine Marxists or socialists. These "Democrats" became Trotskyists when it was a liberal niche from which to oppose Stalinism, during insane $19 Trillion Cold War. US leaders in 1946 were eager to invite Stalin into Bretton Woods and new Global Trade agreemt, Stalin wanted to join, but disputes on terms. Basically, IMF terms would squash postwar Soviet econ, and break prior bi-lateral trade contracts.
So instead of re-negotiating a business deal, the USSR became EVIL ENEMY. Bah.

Conservatism, n.: 1. a belief that individual rights are for persons and corporations who can afford political lobbyists and finance political campaigns of persons who'll vouch on their behalf (corporations are persons by American business law; you'll never see a corporation in jail) 2. the concept of an aristocratic oligarchy to run all aspects of government on behalf of corporate/nationalist interests (See: 'fascism') and to protect those interest from "mob rule" (<- Con slang for Democracy)
