*CAUTION*: Y THE LAST MAN SPOILER IN THE VIEWER MAIL More Newsarama Sneak Reviews! We got an early look at Logan #1 written by Brian K. Vaughan. Lots of great stuff for Wolverine fans. Raven #1 is another number one of a limited series we checked out this week. It goes deep into DC continuity.
On stands this week, Cable #1 is a Messiah Complex spin-off. Cable is traveling somewhere in time with an X-Baby trying to keep it safe from harm. Then, in the speed round we've got Jack of Fables #20 (fun and truly funny), RASL #1 (from Jeff Smith the creator of Bone), All Star Batman & Robin #9 (a book Pete calls creepy), X-Men Legacy #208 (highly recommended and is a great jumping on point), and Crime Bible #5 (a fantastic book, well worth getting the TPB).
In our viewer mail, J Yo on the Pulp Secret forums asks what our favorite "holy crap" moment in comics was.

"just don't forget, if it gets too tough...there's always a place for you here." i have to go with idenity crisis for the ultimate omg moment. tim drakes final words to his father and batman's look of genuine fear as he says "not again."
But how i love batman and frank miller...
think it's possible? :P
And my "holy crap" moment in comics was probably the Death of Captain America. I'd stopped Captain America because I found it boring. Next thing I know, Caps dead. And I was the only one who didn't have a copy. Such a shock. Ironically I now find the comic much better without Steve Rogers.
Penn Gillette - Pete Mathew Broderick - Justin Woody Allen - Alex (The zombie) Comments?
If Bendis took over, he'd have Superman assassinated, Batman: "Brand New Night"(even though it be the same story's from thirty years ago) and have most of the super-heroes lose their powers after his "Dynasty of L"(thats L for Luthor) JLA/JSA team-up storyarc.
Down with Bendis!
Yeah, I read the first 3 Ravens and it didn't really get any better. It made her seem like a psychic Nancy Drew. That plus it's like she becomes one of like the plastics. And it makes her seem like she's not with pop culture (in the comic, she doesn't know the pussycat dolls). I know she's an intelletual, but I doubt she'd be that bad. They also marketed the fuck out of it by having "an emo comic" on the cover after the title, as a buzz word, you know.
