Reading some of these comments make me ashamed to be German....
A new witch-hunt is on. And there are a lot of funtamentalist Anti-Americans among Germans. They are anti-american for the sake of being anti-american and all the arguments are much too often a pretext to be anti-american. Some made and ideology out of Anti-americanism. Beware the isms!

Just because somebody who happens to be German says something doesn't mean he represents anybody else in Germany- so why are you ashamed? He's saying what he thinks, and why shouldn't he? I agree that he is very harsh- and I agree that the "isms" are dangerous. But somehow I also think that cabaret must be able to go a bit further that what is commenly accepted to be pc...And I don't think he is one of the people who are anti-american just for the sake of being anti-american.

Pispers is genious! And I agree: it is acceptable as Cabaret.

You have to b really good to use sarcasm as a basis for comedy. He is just sarcastic, and not very original at that. For me its ordinary and pretty unremarkable

he plays a lot with words, which simply gets "lost in translation". But I'm also kind of annoyed by his anti-americanism, though he's pretty much right about the stuff he talks about, he overdoes it. Anyway, he usually also picks a lot on other countries, especially of course Germany.

... and France. Every greater Country, and I mean power, not size, has done terrrible crimes. But it's true than, in the last 60 Years, no country was more cruel, reckless and ignoring than the USA. I don't say, that all Amerikan's are guilty, but, ask yourself, who decides, witch governement rules a country? And if it's not THE PEOPLE, this country isnt't a democracy AT ALL!

Why Germans are arrogant? Because he is telling the truth? Did you know how often he makes jokes about Germany. But we laugh about it, because he says the truth. önnte Herr Pispers keine so großen Reden schwingen, weil er seine Zeit beim Schlangestehen vor einem russischen "Konsum"-Laden verbringen müsste. Im Übrigen gilt auch für Herrn Pispers: waschen, rasieren, dann findet er auch einen anständigen Job!

well thats the problem :) if a democratic law does not support that itself might be changed by the people (democracy) it is in itself supporting to be a parody of democracy. that is one of the basic rules of germany. it is to stop fashism. but the law also wanted to be rewritten by the choice and election of the coming generations. but germany just forgot about it with 1990 etc. illegal law. paradox . that is the world in every corner I can see..

ähnlich. Der Marschallplan wurde zwar im Nachhinein als selbstlose Wohltat für die Deutschen, Briten und Franzosen, etc. verkauft, aber in Wirklichkeit wars eben einfach nur, um die Leute an sich zu binden und so gegen den Kommunismus zu richten.

I couldn't express it better. But don't generalize, I know a American citizen who loves this video! And to be honestly, there is the same amount of stupid people here in Germany. But they aren't allowed to have guns...
