| I just received a comment about my "poor posture" due to the fact that the flute is down at an angle (unlike those instructions that flutists receive in their highschool bands.) If you have a look at professional flutists who've played for thirty or more years, you will find that 90% of them have a downward angle to their flute; this is due to the aging of the muscles, and the eventual muscle strain caused by trying to keep the flute parallel to the floor.
