Go Back To Your No Good Man - Lonnie Johnson - 12 string
Uploaded by: daddystovepipe
Video Description:
Lonnie Johnson was the prewar era's most influential blues guitarist. His uncanny dexterity and sophisticated sense of harmony enabled him to transcend stylistic barriers to record classic jazz with Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington, groundbreaking duets with the great Eddy Lang, and blues, ballads, and plenty of mawkish pop under his own name. He recorded this song in 1932 and it's a typical showcase of his tendancy to lament love relationships.
He often played a 12 string guitar but sometimes removed several strings. I play it here on a 10 stringer. I'm in his favorite tuning DGDGBE
You can find tab for this song in Stefan Grossman's book on Lonnie, which just has been republished.

same comment as usual. Great performance (with Lonnie Johnson, it's difficult! but no problem for you), and nice background.

óch een iets minder bekende bluesman bij het grote publiek. De muziek hierboven: Niets dan lof en bewondering, tevens de constatering dat de blues nog steeds springlevend is en dat het zeker niet aan jou ligt als dat minder zou worden!
