For those who don't know, construction began in 2006, and the first people can move there in 2009. They really should build all cities like this, and update existing ones to follow this model. The planet NEEDS this kind of thinking.

i think they do know about the heat. they live there. actually, people lived in hot places before the invention of cars! but it's ok, you have small streets with shadow, and air circulation in them making a freshening.. have you ever been in tight downtowns, like arabic or european cities'? human being's been inteligent for years now. it's adapted to any environment: desert, nothpole, thousand years ago.

CO2 is not a bad thing. Infact not only do trees need to breath it and we are currently at the lowest CO2 levels for around 800,000 years as confirmed by hundreds of ice cores for the artic, but lack of Co2 has now been discovered to cause desertification. Did you know that Co2 is a very minor green house gas?
