Pedal-Car Gets Pulled Over By Toronto Cops.

This was recorded 26 October 2007 in downtown Toronto, Canada.
Michel de Broin, an artist, had totally stripped down a 1986 Buick Regal and outfitted it with 4 independent pedal and gear mechanisms. This was part of 'art' piece being exhibited at the Mercer Union Gallery (24 October - 8 December).
Anyway, the police noticed the car's test drive and thought to pull it over and check it out.
No tasers were employed, but it did cost the occupants an expensive towing charge.

You call me a fucking retard, then go on to tell me they are NOT allowed on sidewalks? What about high speed highways? If they go on a sidewalk, they need to yield to pedestrians. While they DO ride on streets being legal, I still do not think it's right. You must not drive and not have a problem with it.

Cop was cool. . . He did not give a citation or lock them up for driving without a plates or registration. It was too slow for the highway and would have obstructed traffic or got wacked from behind from the information that he was provided . . .
