Chantal Akerman, born June 6, 1950, is a Belgian film director and artist currently residing in Paris. She is known for her deconstructive style and pessimistic humor. Her films often represent her observations of identity, sexuality and politics. She has been widely regarded as one of Europe's pr
olific auteur filmmakers. Chantal Akerman, a self-taught filmmaker, got introduced into filmmaking when she saw Jean-Luc Godard's Pierrot le fou at the age of 15. and sibling rivalry, but also for her best-selling novels. Ms. Breillat has been the subject of controversy for her explicit depictions of sexuality and violence. She cast the pornstar Rocco Siffredi in her films Romance Romance X, 1999 and Anatomie de l'enfer Anatomy of Hell, 2003. In an interview
