The Office (ORIGINAL) Jelly Stapler

Uploaded by: vanillabuzz
Video Description:
Tim puts Gareth's stapler in a jelly.
I am disabling comments from this video because I am just tired of approving. Even if most comments praise the ORIGINAL version of The Office, which is the way it should be, there are a few others (mind you, very few) that don't even know a thing about this version or happen to think the yankee ve
rsion is better. Those few comments are the only reason why I have to approve comments first. I don't allow bad comments of this show in my video. Oh, and I am not british, just so you know. I don't have the honor. Lastly, I have news for the people comparing this brilliant show to the other: this
is a mockumentary, not a dumb sitcom like the U.S. version. If you don't know the difference, then you're fucked.

I love Ricky ... ( 7 months ago by tayloreh)
I love Ricky Gervais. And before that, I loved the US Office (looking forward to its return! Ironically stopped by all that corporate stuff which Michael was warring against). Seeing this clip makes me grateful for the UK version. The US version owes quite a bit to it. Either way, North America generally makes as many episodes of a show as possible, which is nauseating, and Europe generally makes few based a la "less is more" idea, which is frustrating. But love em both and the anger cancels.

Why is there such ... ( 7 months ago by DoomJeff91)
Why is there such competition between comedy shows? And there is just as much competition between countries. If we could unite people, we can unite shows. And then, we could unite countries until the entire world is as one... And once we're united, we can fight off the real threat, intergalactic war-bound aliens. This is serious guys.

English humor never insults your intelligence which is why it is so brilliant. The only people who "get it" in the U.S. are the well educated and/or naturally smart people.

What is so wrong ... ( 7 months ago by gebilboy36)
What is so wrong with Americans that they have to have a special version made where everyone talks exactly like them?
I personally don't ... ( 7 months ago by manan1016)
I personally don't think one version is necessarily better than the other, but people tend to like the one that they've seen first and have gotten accustomed to. If someone starts watching the US version for example, they'd have a hard time relating to the characters in the UK version trying to depict the same role in a different manner (and vice versa). Its like watching a popular show, i.e. House, and the main character is suddenly changed to a different actor.

I disagree, I find ... ( 7 months ago by jamesinc87)
I disagree, I find the UK version is much more in touch with the dynamic of an actual workplace. The US version has a more ridiculous edge, and Dwight although funny has nothing on Gareth. Carell also is a bit too crazy, but given that it's Carell we all expected that. That being said, I find both versions funny, I just find the UK one did something unique that was not accurately replicated in the US version.

I don't think so, I've spoke to a few Americans who saw the American version first, then ended up preferring the UK one.
