Video Description:
One of the greatest drummers who ever lived, Buddy Rich. In a phase of his life when he was prone to aggressive outbursts to his band members on the tour bus. Some of which were secretley recorded. Here are three of those recordings.
Some lines of which including "this guy... he ain't my kinda guy" and "go outside and I'll show you what it's like..." were used in Seinfeld.

In answer to your question, no, Buddy did not do this after every show. He did it once every couple of months,especially if he knew someone was taping the band each night.If he felt bad, he would ask for the tape. He would also ask for it if he played erratically. If the guys didn't catch him,play with him, he would freak. I played with him, and we got along great.

Buddy tried being a drill sergeant for boot camp but they didn't take him in, so he decided to start a band with incompetent kids. Then he acts surprised when they screw up and throws a fit at them like the biggest baby of them all. This is proof Buddy lacked leadership skills. That's not how you get results.
