hauntingly beautiful. remember seeing them live by accident in a grotty bar in Camden at the height of britpop - they were the older cousins that missed the cool window but their music far exceeds any of the 3-min pop ditties that came out during that time. this is musical perfection.

I saw these boys back in 1992 at the HFStival in Maryland. I believe that "hauntingly" is the word that best expresses this song and other work from them. They were a giant hit at the concert, but unfortunately fell out of the airwaves shortly thereafter. Great stuff.

Billy Corgan has been making music long before Catherine Wheel formed (like making music since the 80's). They have two different sounds in my opinion... but two amazing sounds! I have read in rolling stone ( i believe) that the album "Adam and Eve" by Catherine Wheel would "make Billy Corgan prou
d".. so maybe that sounds similiar to the Smashing Pumpkins.
