i take your point but nissan had no awd group b cars, they had the 240rs, which was very old and lacked development, and yes austin rover was financially in the doldrums, they also underestimated turbo charging development. your right though big turbo power was the way to go

I once owned a group 4 spec Mk2 Rs2000 on an old Pplate was great. The quick rack steering was just awesome, i used it on the road but it was too unrealible lol. For me tho,, Delta S4 all the way but i always thought the Manta 400R sounded one of the most frantic. But these are all great machines :)

Well, what you're saying is partially true. The Group B cars would probably smoke most of the new cars on some tracks because they weighed less and had double the power. But since then, huge advancements have been made with suspensions and differentials. They can go much harder through corners nowadays. I wouldn't call the drivers of today less skilled than those during the 80's. But they certainly did have to compensate for the car back then.

For me, the cars that had the best sound was the Lancia Delta S4(0:20), Audi Quattro(1:46 and 3:57) and Peugeot 205(2:13). They Didn't sound like just cars, they sounded like F1 cars on dirt!!! I hope that someday, cars like these will return and compete in WRC. Thanks for the video!!5 stars 4 u!!!
