The world changed fundamentally 7 years later. Invading Iraq became a necessity if you want to defeat terrorism. The risks became acceptable, because of the strategic gain it can achieve. If you want to defeat terrorism you need to close with the enemy. Iraq did exactly that.

Whether a mistake or a lie, we went in their based on whatever "evidence" we thought we had and we were wrong, we did not find WMDs. So NOW its govt.'s responsibility to admit that the evidence - that we believed so much in - was wrong. Consequently, not only they should be forced to apologize to army families, Iraqis and Americans but be forced to resign. When you're wrong about something, you're failing at your job, and you shouldn't get to KEEP your job.
