Arlo Guthrie - Coming Into Los Angeles - Woodstock 1969

Uploaded by: ianhawdon
Video Description:
BTW: I've signed up for one of these "Complete an offer and get a few people to do the same and get an iPhone" thingys, not sure if they work, but it would be good if people can do the same... http://apple.real-incentives.com/40461 if I do get an iPhone, I will (firstly be amazed) report back, and thank people.
Right, moving on: Yup, ANOTHER Woodstock clip, showing the heavy use of drugs and alcohol... Amazingly, there were only 3 reported deaths at the festive, and only ONE of them were drug related! Don't you just feel we live in a paranoid world now?

Far out.
Seriously, we could sooo use another Woodstock right about now. Don't you agree folks? A real one too with real music. Not some capitalistic POS event where you charge $5.00 for bottle of water and Fred Durst insights a riot.

I'm not quite sure what your comment mean and why you chose to address me. What I meant to express with my deliberately cryptic words is that the initial hippiedom or the pure innocence some ppl seemed to have or strived for is impossible now. I can only guess that this is a result of our upbringing and our characters. It is my subjective view that young people back then were gentler and perhaps more naive to start with than us, and in a way because of that, somewhat wiser.
Does anyone ever ... ( 6 days ago by cthomann)
Does anyone ever think about those cool, long haired, protesting hippies that are now fat cat bankers, politicians, corrupt lawyers and have been lured by money and power? I would not think we need the Woodstock generation back, but a generation that is aware of how it all sucks and strive for a new change with a common goal worth fighting for. Just my opinion.
