BTW, I damn near fell off my chair when I watched this video for the first time in, what, 10 years, when who do I see playing the father of the other family but Richard Belzer. OMFG. Too funny! From stand up, to music videos, to Law and Order SVU. (After my favorite show, "Homicide: Life on the Streets", of course.) What a kick!

Great song just a shame that Paul young passed away a couple of years ago. They have now finished as a band which is a big shame. Hope they reunite again.

No, it is not Paul Carrack. He did lead vocals on "Miracle". Paul Young did lead on "Taken In". Both were in the band, but swapped vocals. After Paul Young's death, the band was renamed Mike & the Mechanics featuring Paul Carrack.

Ok, here's what I know... Paul Young from the Mechanics died some time ago. He is singing the vocals in this song. He also sang lead vocal on "All I need is a miracle". Paul Carrack (who sang "Tempted" with Squeeze) sang lead vocal on "Silent Running" and "Living Years". Thank you all for keeping this great music alive!

I can't imagine Paul Carrack singing lead on this song. Paul Carrack is great, but Paul Young's voice gives this song its memorable quality, its bittersweet tone.
