Rufus Wainwright performs Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" in Niagara Square, in front of Buffalo's City Hall, on July 3, 2004. Recorded with the video mode of a Kodak DX6490 EasyShare camera by my girlfriend. The camera does have a great 10x optical zoom, but she also went and stood very close to th
e outdoor stage. In fact, at 1:26 you can hear her tell someone else in the crowd (who was complaining that she was standing there so long) "I'm recording," and at that moment Rufus looks right at her! Thanks everybody for watching, and come check out my other videos!

heathermeloy, do your research!!! This is not a jeff buckley original. There is a guy called Leonard Cohen... but Buckley did make it the anthem it is now.

Cohen wrote this but His version is not as good as the many covers that have been made. I believe Leonard Cohen is one of the best song writers his lyrics are simply beautiful. Check out "Famous Blue Raincoat" or "Bird on the Wire"

Agreed. While Cohen wrote it, and I'm glad he did, his version doesn't do the lyrics justice. I'm glad there are remakes to choose from.
