That's American music videos, so facetious and repetitive. It's like, "Okay, let's blow the budget on 3 or 4 setpieces and maybe a cameo from a famous actor, intercut between each one and the band playing several times, and voila! 3 minute music video. And don't forget lots of facetime for the hot lead singer. That'll sell records! The European one however, like many euro and some creative american videos, tells a miniature story, aims at something closer to art than sexed up promotion.

I think the American version fabulously creates a dreamlike beautiful image of a sad song. It goes extremely well. Nina Persson was made into a sexy Scandinavian beauty that exists in the minds of million since Federico Felini's "8 1/2". The European version tells a mundane story mundanely, like a high-scholl film that tries to tell a story but does not really know how to enchant and engage the audience.

Swedes are too embarressed to sing in their native tounge. On the other hand they sing well in English, Spanish, Chinese and even Arabian. These four languages are the main universal ones.

I much prefer the US version. The band member just look so much better in it. This one is sort of unspectacular and boring. But the song is nonetheless brilliant!

Don't shut everybody up. Sweden actualy enjoy much better reputation that other peoples. I know no Swedes, but my general perception is that their society is the most humane and humanistic one; thus more tolerant of and sympathetic to those who hold opposing points of view.
