I heard Jennifer Warnes' version of FIRST WE TAKE MANHATTAN before this one. (from her "Famous Blue Raincoat" album nicknamed "Jenny sings Lenny" by fans).
Then I heard Leonard's version, and I had to say that BOTH versions are so powerful and unique that they absolutely cannot be improved, and both from that day on, became 2 of my all-time-favorite songs.
Jennifer's version is so much a compliment to Leonard's that I used to listen to them sequentially over and over.
