Don't be embarrassed about liking Bobby Sherman! I remember his songs 'Julie Do You Love Me' and 'Hey Little Woman' and I watched his tv show 'Here Come the Brides'...Bobby Sherman was so cute! He went on to become a paramedic in California somewhere, he may still be doing that. If you have to be rescured, it would sure be nice to be rescued by Bobby! :)

Anyway, always loved Bobby, and the Monkees almost forgot til now he was even on their show. Do u have the post cereal records of Bobby or the Archies? I have some Of Bobby..."Bubble Gum" and " I'm in a Tree". I don't remember the Monkees being on the back of cereal boxes even though I bought 45's of them.

I forgot David Soul was on Here Come the Brides! Thanks for taking me back. I think one of the characters was named Joshua, but I forget if it was Bobby Sherman or David. :)

One of the cute things about this episode is that Bobby Sherman's character is a pompous jerk, but he is said to be unable to talk to girls...suggesting that he's insecure...his reaction when Micky switches the cue cards and has him say something silly to one of the girls is pure anguish! I felt kind of sorry for the guy, he seems kind of lonely in the midst of the Monkees' cameraderie. The Monkees were really like brothers, that's one of the things that makes the show timeless!

You can totally hear Neil Diamond's hand in the writing of this song. Just listen to the rhythm guital licks and compare to "Cherry Cherry".

Mickey is the Jerry Lewis of Elvis Presley and Beatles Music!! He should be rewarded for his efforts in this TV show,, I just saw where Puff Daddy got a star on the walk of fame??? He's the lamest, bandwagon jumper in rap and rock?? How about Mickey?? C'mon people,, How many top 10's did Mickey sing on compared to Puff Daddy??? Its time to take back the airwaves with good ole rock and roll!!!
