Few weeks later, another English neighbour visited me, and mentioned about this meal:" They're so proud of being invited by you, and they told the whole village about your Chinese meal."
" Oh, that's great" I said.
"Would you like to know the comment?"
"Go on."
"Well, there were only 2 comments" my English had a sip of his English tea.

ps: Sadly dear old Perikeli passed away early this year, but the fig tree he planted in our garden 4 years ago, is returning really generousely.
He's great, but not too much or you'll depend on his greatness and not be great for yourself... which is apparently not a problem.
