This was a tribute to Roy. The response to this performance made the news. The audience was filled with peers in the industry and she was recognized for performing this song - Her Way - instead of performing it "like" Roy Orbison. I have the video of her performances and this is on it. I need to find the DVD version. I have seen this performance so many times I can pick out the lady stage right that talks to the man next to her during the whole song!

Wow. I recorded this years ago on my vcr because I knew it was going to be a special performance. Then someone I won't say who recorded over the tape, and I haven't seen it for years. Thanks whoever for posting it. It was always my favorite performance of hers. I remember showing it to my lesbian neighbor in Chicago in the 80's and all she had to say was "What does she have on her feet?"!

I think this was one I have been looking for for a long time. It was at a tribute to Roy shortly after his death. Everyone was there and this realative newcomer blew the place away. She had sung this at his black and white concert whith him i think. Untill this night she was a cult figure, Always drew laughs from them seeing her for the first time
