Not to put down any honest cops (there are def a lot who deserve our recognition) but there is a degree of truth to what scales is saying. Many (not most) cops are corrupt, and many are bitches that abuse their power (youtube police brutality, thats only what has been caught on tape). Ur view will depend on where u grew up and what you have seen in ur life. Corruption exists in all jobs, what would be dif about police, theyre people 2? If this cop had surrendered immediately and gone to trial, he might have been able to persuade the jury that the six victims were resisting arrest. Six drop guns could get pretty heavy, but he could have asked other cops for theirs. (Drop guns are what many cops "drop" when they shoot an unarmed innocent bystander). He might even have gotten his job back!
MORAL: If you are a cop and you commit a crime, stick around and keep acting like a cop!

This is yet another good example of how many officers are mentally unstable sociopaths who further worsen their condition with the abuse of alcohol and illegal drugs like steroids. There are many of these officers who are incapable of leading normal lives and who are a threat to the community and themselves, which is a good reason why frequent drug testing and ongoing mental evaluations should be a priority to those who are paying the salaries of these officers. Many should pursue other jobs.
