Well, I for one had only heard of these things: if I wanted to see what happened at them, I'd have had to go find one and do this myself. By the time people across the country are facing suspicionless detention themselves, the practice will be widespread and much harder to stop. These videos are educational and help form a basis for public response.

Agree with you!!!Why not just answer the question and continue on. They are doing their jobs. Simple as that. You make them look like an idiot because you are using your constituional rights. Well just an FYI. Failing to abide by US Customs can be a very bad punishment. Don't mess with Government. You pay your taxes right? Scared for your life that if you don't, they will punish you badly. Border Patrol is the same, they will mess you up if you don't abide by their rules! Idiots..

Look at that, another whimpering 22 year old sheeple cowering under his bed, playing video games and afraid of being punished by his parents. It must be that you've spent so much time crawling around on your knees that you've never seen an American standing upright before. You should try it sometime. The view is much better from up here.
For some strange ... ( 1 week ago by CheckpointUSA)
For some strange reason, none of the promo ads & videos created by Customs & Border Protection that I've seen show armed DHS agents seizing Americans at internal suspicionless checkpoints. I wonder why? You should checkout the CBP promo video available on YouTube. It doesn't show internal suspicionless checkpoints but it does refer to the agency as a para-military organization...

Obviously we're not on the same page "CheckpointUSA"! because you're not understanding the fact that they're protecting our land and freedom, if you're considering the few CBP's that have been bribed as the whole DHS then youre wrong, because we have bad apples everywhere in this or any other country, and if you check there's been reports of city police and CHP'S that have been bribed as well, I would like to see you do this kind of foolishness on a CHP though!
You're damned right ... ( 1 week ago by CheckpointUSA)
You're damned right we're not on the same page rgmmk since you obviously feel that armed thugs seizing individuals along public highways inside the country absent suspicion to conduct interrogations somehow protects 'our land & freedom'. With regards to CHP's, since when did the highway patrol start setting up suspicionless checkpoints to search for illegal immigrants & illegal narcotics? Are you incapable of differentiating between apples & oranges or do you just hate individual rights?

I must say that many of the objectors of your video so easily wish to give up rights that our fathers bled and died for. I took the oath and as a Marine will honor it until death. Sadly, it is past time that we the people defend the Constitution for this domestic threat. Checkpoint USA I salute you! You understand the erosion and know what comes next unless we are vigilant.

And what exactly is she doing for the country? It can't be protecting the border because this checkpoint is located over 40 miles North. If she was actually on the border, there wouldn't be any issue here. You seem to feel however it's perfectly reasonable to trash the Bill of Rights in order to seize and interrogate individuals inside the country absent any reasonable suspicion whatsoever while at the same time purposefully leaving the border porous to conduct such un-American operations.

40 miles north is nothing. A human can walk 20 miles or more in a day. Most don't want to. That's why they get in cars and DRIVE. The checkpoint is there to look for the 20 illegals jammed into the back of the vehicle. Ok, I get your point about having to answer questions about your citizenship as a free American. You and I both know if you had said I am a US citizen you would have been throuh the checkpoint in a few seconds. I think your point is that you don't believe you should have to answer

It is so easy to comply and be on your way. However, that approach will cost you dearly in the future. Exercise your god given and constitutionally protected rights every chance you get. Many men gave up their lives so you could have these rights. The very least you can do is to grow some nads and exercise those rights and hold on to them for dear life
Actually, I don't ... ( 30 minutes ago by CheckpointUSA)
Actually, I don't know any such thing. In fact, I recently received a detailed account from a U.S. Citizen & his wife who were seized & detained for an extended period of time at one of these internal checkpoints even though they readily identified themselves as Americans & provided passports. Despite this fact, the agents chose to direct them to secondary & demanded to search their trunk absent reasonable suspicion. This is a common practice by overzealous agents at these checkpoints.
