Pokemon Diamond/Pearl: make only Pikachus appear (blurry!)

Video Description:
Put an exactly level 18 pokemon at the front of your party. Head to the pokemon mansion south of Hearthome City. Use a Repel (super or max is fine). Walk or bike around the grass.
why this works: Repels keep away any pokemon at a lower level than your first pokemon on your list. Having a level 18 poke in front means all pokemon level 17 and under are kept away, while any level 18 and up are allowed to fight. The only level 18 or higher pokemon that appears in the mansion
garden is Pikachu :) Actually, if you've already beaten the game then another kind might appear too, and you might get about half Pikachus and half the other type. This is useful if you want Lucky Eggs. On the day when the guy at the mansion says Chanseys are in his garden, use this method, and
you'll find about half Pikachus and half Chanseys. Eventually you might find one with a Lucky Egg. But it still might take an hour or more. (edit) The Pikachus might not appear if your front pokemon is partway from level 18 to 19 already. I tried this with a Yanma that had almost reached level
19, and no Pikachus appeared. Maybe Repel works on all pokemon who have less experience points than the front pokemon. (end edit) The Pika I caught in the video is the 78th Pikachu I have named "Buddy," and I am going to trade Buddy78 off for a Bidoof on GTS very soon. That's my hobby in Pokemon
Pearl.
