Learning to juggle 5 is so annoying because it is such a gradual process. It's so different from when you learn a trick with 3- once you've got it you've always got it. With 5 if I don't keep it up almost daily I get worse. Anyone else find this?

Do youself the favor and learn a lot of 4 ball stuff first. Things like half shower, shower, mm or whatever... Things you might learn later with 5 balls anyways. It will give more generel control and a more fun practise. Takes more time --> less boring

i can do the 4 ball cascade flash thingy really well but i cant do the 5 ball flash at all. Tips or Advice anyone?...please?

Practise the 5 ball flash, and nothing more.
You'll get it eventually. And I found that the step from 4 balls to the 5 ball flash is harder than the step from the 5 ball flash to 5 ball continous juggling. Does that make any sense?

yeah thanks. now i can do the 5 ball flash 2/3 of the time but i always find myself chucking them forward out of reach and i have to lean to get them. any pointers?

1. Be more conscious about throwing the balls straight up.
2. Don't move your feet. If you throw the balls forward, let them fall, in stead of chasing after them. 3. Juggle in front of a bed, couch or table. This prevents you from being able to move forward, and you don't have to bend over as much when you drop the balls. (Tip 3. is my favourite.)

Alright!
Cascade: When juggling a number of balls, from the left hand to the right. (all the balls change hands.) Probably the most basic patter of all juggling. Flash: When throwing a number of balls once, then catching them once. (Let's say you are flashing 5balls, you throw all 5 up in the air, then ca
tch all 5 balls in the oppsite hand that each ball came from. Fountain: When juggling even numbers of balls, the balls do not change hands, and you juggle for example 2 in each hand.

I got the five ball flash done preaty well but whenever i get past say 10 or 12 throws my pattern starts to get smaller and the balls starts to hit each other, any advice on how to keep the pattern even?

Focus especially on the throw.
You got the catch down.. hell, anyone can catch the ball. The real trick is in how the ball is thrown. So focus on how you throw the ball. Maybe you need to go back to the basics a little more? Work on flashing 3 balls real high. Or do it with four continously. Try some excersises with fewer ba
lls as well! ;)
