Cast iron, what are you stupid? That would kill the lancer on the streets, no one will be taking a cast iron block 4cyl to 9k+rmp and 900+hp.
Aluminum disapates heat and is lighter than cast iron, durr.

ANY person who is into high performance 4cyl's knows that an aluminum block with cast iron sleves is tops. Dissaptes heat better for higher h.p and rmp levels. Lighter weight is a added bonus.
My evo is pushing 740awhp, 10k miles on the tune. Not once has it ever overheated no matter how hard I push it. A cast iron 4cyl could never do that, never

They made the base model Lancer a respectable car. Much safer, not as pathetic on acceleration. The Paddle shifters are a joke. The EVO on the other hand has DEvolved since EVO 8. The best looking was EVO VI, and the best was EVO VII. This is no longer a driver's car. Its a sheeps car. But hey, they are going to sell alot of them to stupid kids, and thats when the better crash test rating will come into play.

There are only couple of evos that are currently putting out that kind of power in the world and asuming you have one as you say, no stock evo is capable of such a power, it means that you have upgraded everything except the body and lights! no evo dif, gbox, intake system, EMS, suspension and engine can handle such a power. Once you upgrade parts to handle that power, your not driving evo, your driving a custom built drag car, regardless of the make of it, it will be a fantastic ride.
