Well it doesn't matter which day you think the sabbath is, you should honor the Lord, do His will, and keep his commandments every day. It is easy to be a Christian on the sabbath, but it's more of a challenge during the week. Being a Christian is a 24/7/365 day job, no days off; the work is long and hard, the pay is low, but the benfits are out of this world.

the Lord TELLS us which day is the Sabbath.. it is the SEVENTH day. in 6 days He made the world but on the 7th He rested. He blessed that day. YES, we should ALWAYS follow the commandments, and the 4th says to honor the SABBATH (the 7th day). OF COURSE I HONOR HIM ALL DAYS! Just because someone follows the 4th commandment and honors the Sabbath, do you REALLY think that they don't worship the Lord every day? Lord says to REST on the Sabbath and do no work. Do you NOT work every day, 24/7/365??

Try using that verse in context and you will see is all this verse is doing is illustrating that time does not matter to God. He sees no difference between one day and one thousand years. The concept of time is important to us, but God simply does not see it this way. That's how He is so "long-suffering," as you will read in the next verse. I hate it when people use this single verse to make it sound literal!!!

Good point, Morning! The 10 commandments WERE written by the finger of God. It's a catchy tune but, you are right, the Statler Brothers aren't real accurate when talking about the 10 commandments, are they? Thanks for pointing that out.

I do believe that God was the one who wrote the commandments. Aa...but about the 4th commandment...The Jews were the first organized religion to receive the 10 commandments, neh? They have worshiped on Saturday since the beginning of time. God rested on that day. You're right. Saturday is the Sabbath. And since the Bible is for everybody who wants to follow God, what about the other things...such as unclean meats?

In regards to the 10 commandments video:
i believe that the Bible makes it clear, we are not to eat unclean meats. I follow those rules and do not eat pork, etc. I eat animals that are hooved and chew the cud, fish with fins and scale and birds that forage (as opposed to scavangers).

You obviously don't follow all the laws that are included in the lists that include prohibitions against "unclean meats". So how do you decide which ones to pick and choose? Do you mix linen and wool in the same garment or round the corners of your beard. And how do you reconcile the fact that the bible contradicts itself by saying that nothing can defile man and you can eat any animal you want to? Gen 9:3 Mark 7:18-20 Luke 10:8 Acts 10:9-13 1 Corinthians 10:25 Romans 14:2 1 Timothy 4:1-3

I DON'T eat unclean meats, because the Lord provided us with guidelines that assure we live long healthy lives. but, If invited to a strangers house, i do eat what is set before me as Jesus taught. The Scriptures also make it clear that there is a difference between the 10 commandments, and the Mosaic Laws, or the 600+ Laws of Moses. (Gal. 3:10-13,
2Cor.3:3, Rom.13:8,9 Phil.3:8,9 Eph:3:4,5) The Bible DOESN'T contradict itself. That statement is blasphemy.

ZeroSlayer01, i inadvertantly removed the second part of this comment to you, i posted a week ago (thought it was the new reply i wrote today, and had to delete and start over on that reply!) To repost: i explained that eating unclean meats is not part of the 10 commandments, it is part of the Mosaic Laws. The 600=Laws were done away with when Christ came to Earth. I follow the dietary rules because the Lord provided with them as a guideline to living a healthy life.
