there are only a couple of times that tears have formed in my eyes at a concert and once was listening to emmylou around 1980 and another was the chieftans both had such sheer beauty and emotion..this is a great commentary chain and it prompted me to listen to the willie waylon and willie bob dylan versions.,,i agree both are pretty good..but not better..kf

I first met her at CSU Long Beach in 1975 @ a free lunch concert, with Dan Reed, who became her first off. photogrpaher. I saw her many times in SoCal, both front stage and back, and she was always gracious, happy to see us, and beautiful, in every way man can describe beauty. We're just blessed that God created her voice in the era of recording. Before I left the trailhead parking lot on a difficult 1978 Sierra climb, I queued up "Boulder..." on the "deck" to heal our battered bodies. It worked

She appears on Gram's two solo albums, which can be purchased on one cd. GP and Grievous Angel. gram sobered up just in time to hit a pair of grand slams. Emmylou is in fine voice throughout the albums.
