Video Description:
I teach beginners and intermediate sax, clarinet and flute players about tone, reading music, fingering, breathing, scales, patterns and improvisation.
I frequently visit the sax on the web forum and have started to help players there with the above items. I hope to use this channel to demonstrate any suggestions for that forum, my students or anyone else on youtube who I can help with their playing. Anyway here it goes. Please post anything tha
t comes to mind. Enjoy!

I don't play saxophone (trumpet!!), but I think it's great that you're teaching people through youtube. It should help a lot of people.

You shouldn't teach until you learn yourself. You puff your cheeks when playing which is NOT good. Also, sounded like you were getting squeaks in the D-F (side keys - up high) which in a good embouchure wouldn't happen.

Until you learn yourself - what on earth is that supposed to mean! Who judges when they have "learned"? You? me? One should never stop learning more no matter how good he or she may be. There were no squeaks on the palm keys - I was playing altissimo. Regarding the puffing cheeks - that is incorrect - really puffing my cheeks would look MUCH different! Facial muscles should be relaxed - if I suppress my cheeks from taking a bit of air, everything is very tight and I would get tired quick.

It took a while for me to get a reasonable sound out of the flute - so rule number 1 is stick with it. 2nd is see a classical flute teacher to find a comfortable hand position and embouchure. Other than that, just practice how you would a sax - long tones, overtones, scales, jazz/classical studies, recording your self. You could also ask an experienced flute player to play through a few duets with you. Hope that's give you some ideas. Just chip away a little every day and you will get there.
