Look, at a powerlevel of 530,000 Frieza destroyed a planet much larger than Earth (hence the 10x stronger gravity everyone needed to train by to defeat Nappa and Vegeta). That's a small fraction of Goku's power level when he first transformed into a SSJ at 15,000,000. I'm sure Superman is at a good.... 2,000. Look, he just expressed his real 'power' and hardly anything happened. Superman isn't too powerful, given he isn't standing on the sun. Even then, it's still no competition.

*cough* The current Superman would be easily smoked by Goku, no arguments there. Now mind you, the current Supes is nowhere near as strong as some of his past incarnations. I remember seeing a snip from a comic where superman was using a giant ass chain to literally pull several planets. If we take stuff like that into account, I believe the fight is a wee bit more fair.

Superman would beat goku down... Post-Crisis superman has flown threw moons and planets, can lift Billions of tons, yes billion with a B. He can fly at 99. the speed of light witch goku can only manage when he uses instant transmision, wich takes concentration and a ki scource for him to lock on to. Supermans Heat vision has re-egnighted stars... You dbz fans think just because the people on dbz talk about blowing up planets so ofeten no one else is strong enough to? Superman would crush SonGoku

You can't really gauge the true powers of most of the League by the cartoon. A lot of them have been depowered to a degree (most notably the Flash) for the purposes of making good stories. The Supes in the comics would immediately go into full-out mode in this fight - super fast punches, heat vision, etc. The Supes vs. Goku argument is moot as Goku is pretty much the "Superman" of Anime - there's always going to be an example of how much stronger either is than anybody else.

Superman Prime would kick his ass. They needed both pre and post crisis Superman's to beat him, along with virtually every single superhero alive and the entire Green Lantern core, and they only managed to beat him after they chucked him through a red sun, a sun specifically designed to weaken Superman. I bet Goku would die if he was chucked through a sun.

Both of the heroes are often downplayed. Superman moves planets, but then he can be hurt by some weapon Luther made. With Goku, th best example is the kamehameha he did in the worlds strongest against Dr. Wheelo in 3X kaioken. Its the biggest one in the the series even though he's not even super saiyan yet. As someone stated earlier, its impossible to determine whose stronger. Their strength etc is not represented consistently.

Exactly. Personally, I think if the strengths and powers of the DBZ characters were consistent... a single punch from one of them would destroy half the planet. At least people like Vegeta, Goku, and Gohan.

Goku has also flew through planets. The Kai planet in the fight w/ Kid Buu.

Goku can fly that fast w/out Instant Transmission. Gotenks flew around the Earth with ease at Super Saiyan multiple times, so Goku being much stronger... I wouldn't be surprised.
Goku has used a Kamehameha to launch off of stars from space.

Strength: Goku wins. If Frieza can destroy a planet larger than Earth at a fraction of the powerlevel of a SSJ, then... well there ya go.
Speed: Most characters when fighting go so fast, you can't see them. Haven't seen Superman do so.
Endurance: Hard to say. Goku's fought with a big ass hole in his chest... Superman seems to constantly have a hard time getting up even if it's a single punch. You never know with Supes. (to be continued....)

Also, strength + energy-wise, Brolly has obliterated an entire galaxy.... A GALAXY. NOT A SOLAR SYSTEM, A GALAXY. Think about it... a solar system is a speck of dust in a galaxy. Given by the end of the first Brolly movie, Goku becomes stronger than him, I'm pretty sure Supes loses overall.

Actually NateMaster both shows are sooo flawed on strengths and weaknesses it's kind of stupid to compare the two...I mean at one point goku was scared of a needle....which should be able to enter his flesh, and when krillin threw a rock at him,,,he screamed in pain and got upset. SO yeah both shows flawed and make no sense

PFT consistent? I remember when those robbers caught gohan off gaurd one punched him in the face and he made a painful noise..(even though it hurt the other guy) gohan was still knocked over. Yet in a couple eps later he was beamed in the face with a baseball and didn't even feel it

That's not what I'm talking about. If their powers were EXPRESSED as they were supposed to be. As far as I'm concerned: if Roshi was able to destroy the moon at a standing power level of 136 (?) then Goku at SSJ3 should be able to tear through planets and stars alike. Because remember: DBZ character's powers don't exactly from from natural strength, it comes from their ki energy. So if it's not even being used, I'm sure a punch can knock someone over if they were caught offguard, (continued)

No like I said: DBZ character's strength, etc. don't come from their bodies alone. It's mostly an ability of how well they can harness, control and supress their ki energy. No doubt Goku is stonger than Superman show-wise. The evidence is quite compelling. Besides the whole argument is irrelevant all because of Superman's nature to suddenly be uber powerful in one era and totally weak in comparison the next. You can't give credit to Supe's strengths. I can write for Supes and make him a GOD.
