I watched the director edition recently and can you say , best version ever. They cut out alot of shit from the theater edition to shortern the movie. I am glad they threw it all in for the director's cut. You see Newt's parents, the automated sensory gun scene, extended dropship scene, see more

I know, it totally ruins the story and makes it more disjointed by leaving those parts out. I would have loved to have seen the directors cut in the cinema, it would be so awesome, they should show more old films like that.

I usually dislike "soundtrack" as a music genre, but James Horner is a genious. Almost every film that goes to the top of my head as having a really stand out and fitting soundtrack seems to have his name in it. Whether it's the original Land Before Time, Aliens, or Bicentennial Man.
