what??? This is ... ( 7 months ago by riggser2007)
what??? This is chamber music at the highest level and nothing they are doing with their movements are false, it's all genuine and quite frankly yes the music is most important but if you want music first listen to a recording, I hate watching people play like lumps of coal, thats why classical music is suffering, cause most people don't have showmanship
I agree, but I also ... ( 7 months ago by xwkwarw)
I agree, but I also think that the lack of showmanship in many musicians is overcompensated by many musicians. I like everything organic.

Compared with contemporary genres, this performance is very nearly the exact opposite of a personal show.

i think classical music is struggling to be relevant in a modern society. The ambition is still to create and as a result many fine classical performers are not realising their potential as composers and artists in their own right. The snobbery associated with the genre also doesnt help- i think that this has put many people off, including myself, at times.

i could never quite understand their intonation... sounds so strange, so neutral (this is when it's not completely out of tune, like on the CD with the Trout quintet with A.Schiff). their intonation is very unnatural, very computerized, non-expressive, just in the middle... kinda boring sometimes. i just love ABQ!!!

Yeah but people who are snobs about music don't even really like it. Just tell them to Fuck Off and get stuck in.

I think this isn't perfectely Beethoven sound... Too much rubato then the normal one. Neverthless, perfect execution.

i think everything is "over played" its all every good but it makes little musical sence because of the exadurated accentuations.
But what is the ... ( 5 months ago by ruitye75ir94444)
But what is the difference between "classical" music and the music you hear today? To say it "struggles" to be apart of our society is is crazy. Classical music has built the foundation of all music. It will never go away.
yeah definitely. ... ( 5 months ago by semprelegato)
yeah definitely. it's way to complex.. sounds like Mendelssohn or something. there's no simple crisp Beethoven sound.

beethoven was definetely complicated. the crisp sound you reference is more of a mozart hallmark.

Good dynamics. Thanks for posting. P.S. I think the violins should smile more, or the viola and cello should smile less (jk).

Heifetz-Sama would rip off a few heads here.. from what I heard he dosent really like violinists who play with closed eyes..
heifetz may not be ... ( 3 months ago by policewah)
heifetz may not be always right.
there are other violinists who are better than him. heifetz should not expect everyone to play like him or else the world of music will be so boring. variety colours the world of music.
I second policewah. ... ( 3 months ago by AmateurViolinist)
I second policewah. The way to tell if the music is good is for the listener to close his or her eyes. Don't look at their faces; listen to their music.
