Reminds me how great a drummer Phil is. I saw them 4 times, I think. It could be 5. I was often beyond the Solar System at the time. It was over for them, really, when Hackett left.

Boo-hoo, try to play the piano intro, originally played in the studio on a concert grand, on a non-dynamic RMI electronic piano back in 1977! Tony tried and had difficulties (I won't ever blame hin: he is brilliant), and decided to drop it. It simply wasn't possible back then. Perhaps later on the Yamaha CP70 (from 1978 on)he migh have been able, but by then FOF was never played in its complete form anymore.

..sorry, I have to correct muyself, there is a complete 1983 version of FOF with Yamaha CP70 and Prophet 10 standing in for thr Hammond T-102. No piano intro. Well a CP70 still isn't a concert grand....

Hackett, eh? I'll make a note of that name! :-D They were all brilliant. That is a kick-ass version. I have 'Seconds Out,' but generally prefer their studio albums. Ain't Al Gore's Interweb thingy great? I'd a never seen all these cool vids without it. I've also just discovered another guitarist from whom I would like to learn some things.
