EVA rocks! The first time I watched it, I was pretty confused. After watching it again and paid more attention, the story is incredible. I rank EVA up there with Star Wars (the old one), Matrix, etc.

So i just finished watching the series and i didnt get the last few episodes... Shinji was in this mind chamber thingy .. and at the end everyone congragulates him.. wtf happened to asuka and her depression.. and rei.. wtf is she? and the first angel secret didnt get revealed.. what was that all about?
Was it watching like the wrong stuff cause it quiet didnt make sense to me.. someone explain!

Heh, it takes a second or third veiwing for it to begin makeing sense. You just have to pay more attention the second/third time around.

Did anyone apart from me feel that NGE is more than a TV series???
It has absolutely EVERYTHING: a really good plot, the deepest characters I've ever seen, an epic and dramatic connotation and a beautiful travel through psychology and philosophy
I think everyone should see it at least once, in order to understand better human mind and, why not, to have a very good time

It seems like I'm the only who didn't get depressed with this anime.
That is because my brother told me everything, so I knew what was going to happen. He really loves this anime, a lot O.o
I actually liked the ending, I felt like it was a little bit happy, because it was the first anime I've seen Shinji with a real smile. I still didn't understand what happened at the end, did everybody just died?
Where did they go? and if they died, where the he%%^% are they?!

Shinji and asuka were the first to regain phisical form of therir bodies.
after the anime life had restarted all over again. like Shinji was Adam and Azuka was Eve

in the new remake of the series Rebuild of Evangelion the ending is completely different, in the new ending when misato pushes shinji into the elevator he grabs her wrist and she falls in with him and he carries her into the cockpit of EVA-01 then he proceeds to go up to the surface right before asuka is impaled and attacks some of the mass produced evas...EVA-01 grows angel wings shinji goes crazy on them and completely destroys them ^^^^^next post

he completely destroys them and then after the huge rei appears shinji throws the lance of longinus thru its head just as its hands were behind the EVA the huge rei then explodes sending huge amounts of light everywhere and theres a flash shinji then wakes up on a bech and misato is a few feet from him laying down but breathing he smiles and lays her head in his lap while he looks around and sees asukas eva closeby in a crater only partially damaged he than hears a sound and looks to see rei

actually this has been on the drawing boards for years but actually this is subject to drastic change which i didnt take into account but i can definetly see a much happier and logical ending to the series which Anno has practically promised
