Each book accounts for the fact that she didn't like LSD. She had enough of other drugs to choose what she wanted. In her early days, she was a speed freak. Got to 80 pounds and went home to Texas to recover. But, you are entitled to your opinion. Anyway, glad to see you looking at her videos. Peace.

One of my fave performances of Janis. And according to the book "Love, Janis", which was written by Janis' sister..KosmicJanis is correct. Janis Joplin was into drinking and she did use heroin, but LSD was not her thing. Her eyes are glassy because she was drunk. The book says that she slept little during this festival express tour and drank heavily.

Janis was and is the best female rock blues singer that ever lived. This is my favorite fast tempo song of hers, it really rocks. You can't hardly find this kind of straight from the heart feeling and emotion in the music today. I'm a musician/songwriter/guitarist and have heard it all in my 49 years of living and rockin'. Janis stills reigns as the best.

I love this performance of Janis with "Kosmic Blues". She's so wonderful voice and she's a legendary artist!!! It was found died in our hotel room four months later then it recorded our last album " Pearl".
