PacRatBoots is correct -- Find some Phil songs from the Genesis albums "Trick of the Tail", "Wind & Wuthering", "Duke" and "Abacab". Also, you'd love to hear the more commecial stuff of his with Genesis like stuff from the album titled "Genesis" and from "Invisible Touch".

You're right, TheBestPhilCollins. As the guys were in a jam session, Phil was singing what he calls 'nonsense lyrics,' and "you're no son of mine" is what kept coming up, so he went with it and wrote the remaining lyrics.
These men are SUCH amazing artists. I LOVE GENESIS! :D

I used to listen to this a lot when I was a kid when it first came out (Mom's a big fan, too!). I've always enjoyed this song, but lately I've revisited it since the last concert, and it just kicks the crud out of me every time I hear it!!!
I especially enjoy the gradual crescendo and escalating emotions as the guys approach the chorus. It gets me EVERY time! :D LONG LIVE GENESIS!!!

This is from the We Can't Dance album, which was released in 1991. It is the first track, so the album definitely catches your attention right away!
You'll find other fantastic songs on there like "Jesus, He Knows Me," "I Can't Dance," and "Living Forever." I DEFINITELY recommend it! ^_^ Good luck in your quest! :)

thankx very much, i just realised i have the we cant dance album but i downloaded the song off, of the turn it on again album, i must admit i am some what a Genesis fanatic even tho im only young, i love pretty much every song they did (not peter whats his name..) i can also recomend, driving the last spike, fading lights and domino/in the glow of the night ,as well as the well known ones =P thankx again.
