| So many people on here talking about how Lupe copied but you know what both songs are lyrically different so, what you need to pay attention to are the lyrics that's what makes both songs great. Canadian hip hop and lupe fiasco are great and don't think you should put him down either he along with Canadian hip hop (including Swollen Members) and many other artists are helping to keep real and beautiful hip hop alive. Daydreamin by Lupe Fiasco used it's music from "Daydream/Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky" in the Swan Lake Ballet, which I am sure you have heard of. The piano solo in this song uses the same melody. So, yes, they are the same, no, Lupe didn't "steal" it from Swollen, especially since both these songs came out only a few days apart, hardly enough time to steal a whole song. |
