uh I dont think so, dont you think its a massive coincidence then that every bow movement matches in technique with the sound that is produced. Preeeetty sure she is playing and she is quite good. Besides, this is a original composition for show, not emotion. Those musicians you listed are known for playing highly emotional pieces, so they cant really be compared to this.

Lol. obviously we're not on the same wave length. I never said that she wasn't playing :) I agree with you. This piece is for show however if you were, perhaps, more exposed to classical music than you would realize that there are many virtuosic pieces within the classical genre that do not fall under the "highly emotional" heading.

You must understand, I am not commenting on her technical ability (as obviously she has been trained), merely how she flaunts her figure while playing. This, I find quite unfortunate, as I think that the piece would have been just fine without it.

hey, I commenting using my friends account "jumponthis". I see what you mean now. I agree with you on the moving. Like I know some performers move slightly in performances to really get into it emotionally and sometimes technically, but this perhaps is a little too much as you said. Perhaps its a case of sex sells, which is a shame as the violin to me is awesome in itself without the sexual advertisement

*nods* I completely agree with you! Sex is marketable and she has, in a way, exploited that. Violin is just another instrument which interprets music and what one feels through the music. This should be beautiful in-itself, no matter what genre, without the flamboyant movement. We should be listening with our ears, not our eyes : )

yes thats exactly right, what you said encompasses it perfectly. The melody she has composed is great and beautiful even in the really harsh technical moments, no need for the flamboyant movement as you say. To me, music is about expressing emotions and telling a story through the notes. Call me a traditionalist but thats what I think

There was nothing sexual about the way she was moving... It was almost the opposite. Did you HEAR what she was playing? It'd be nearly impossible to play what she was playing with the technique she used without moving the way, and as much as, she did. You know nothing about playing the violin an

well thats funny cause I do play the violin actually so I suppose your pay-out doesnt work for you. When I play, I move around but not as much as her in this video and i just thought it was a little too much. And shit, it was just an opinion, music is free to interpret your own way and I thought you perform this without out fuckin hell settle down its really stupid of you to accuse a complete stranger of knowing nothing when you know nothing about them think before you speak !

i think that her performance is good but her movement is deffinitely too much.
its not necessarily sexual but its not needed to keep her technique and to play the way she does.

My comments were direct replies to things (the SAME things) you and another user wrote, not their own independent replies to the video itself. Why would I go out of my way to express what I thought of Ann's playing except to inform you that I did not think it was what you thought it was; sexual. You don't even make sense in your reasoning.
Write what you will but I do think that only an already peverted mind would see anyhting sexual in Ann's movement here.
