sounds like you need to deep clean the brush. I have a video on that. Use this only for quick-cleaming like every other day. For brushes you havent washed in a while, use the deep-clean method.

ideally, quick-clean your brushes after every use. But I understand most are always on the GO, so every other day is fine. 3 times a week at the least, then deep-clean once a week. Baby SHAMPOO is best as uts designed for delicate hair fibers.

Thanks a bunch for this vid. Loved it!!!! I noticed that once you finish cleaning your brushes with brush cleaner, you don't wash the brush cleaner off the brushes with water. Just curious....doesn't that leave the product from the brush cleanser in the brush?

Enkore, when I cleaned my brushes with the cleaning solution you have made in one of your videos I realized that no rinsing them actually means I leave some soap on them to dry, and use the brushes that have dried soap on them. Is that non-allergic or healthy? enlighten me please

Hi Koren, just washed my new MAC 168 for the first time with the MAC brush cleanser & kitchen roll, & I rinsed because it was sudsing... but as i'm watching it dry right now it looks terrible! Nice and clean, but the bristles are misshapen - splaying out in all directions, & some of them even seem 'crimped'!Is there any way for me to rectify this appearance, or at least prevent it from happening to another brush? Sorry I am new to brushes!

Also (sorry i couldn't fit this all in one comment lol) I did back and forth motion & drying it flat, re-shaped before drying and it looked fine. It is only now that it is drying it looks funky. Thank you for all your videos and tips, they have been so helpful and we love you here on Youtube! :)

hey sparkle - some people do rinse, but I personally find the mixture to be mostly water and no need to rise, I just really wipe it good on a paper towel until all traces of makeup residue is gone.

hey unique - some people prefer to rinse, but the mixture is actually mostly water so I find I dont need to rinse. If you have senstive skin, you can definitely rinse it if you prefer.

hey Jaimes - if its a new brush, definitely give it a good deep-cleaning first using shampoo and warm water. You want to get rid of the starchy coating the apply in the bristles for storage. I have a video on this if that helps. You'll find that the bristles will look better.

yeah, most brushe when initially drying does that. Once dry its better as long as you shape the bristles while wet, then just fluff it up when it dries completely.

hey gchata - well, it can get expensive if you use those, but they work. The only thing is it doesnt have hair conditioners that will condition the bristles and sanitizer.
