When Christians Misbehave: Self-Induced Religious Fit
Uploaded by: aajoeyjo
Video Description:
From the series, "When Christians Misbehave"
This is a two part benediction at a public college in Texas given by the very religious valedictorian of that school. This came after some wrangling about whether to even have a benediction, since some students objected. This is unbridled Christian advertising in the form of a self induced fit on stage.
At the near end of the video, the brown-uniformed woman walking up the aisle is a Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper, going up on stage to render aid. She obviously doesn't think it's a very serious emergency. I don't think anyone else does either. If you have raw video of Christians misbe
having, feel free to send it to me, and I'll edit it up real nice, and post it. :o) Joe Zamecki aka aajoeyjo Texas State Director, American Atheists www.atheists.org/tx

dunnonuffink, that is a PERFECT observation. Bingo! I've seen this in church when I was dating a Pentecostal. They are "filled with the Holy Spirit" yet they somehow seem obsessed with their audience. I would see people in the front pews acting like this narcissist girl, yet while "enraptured" th
ey would TURN AROUND to make sure that no one in the rear pews was upstaging them. If so, they would pour it on even more. Total fakery.
My neice was recently invited to a christian camp week by best friend, a christian, and phoned home to say a boy had "weirded out", rolling around gibbering on the floor. This is Scotland, so the other kids stood there cringeing in embarrassment. (Heaven forfend it should ever become acceptable here!) My niece decided she's "seen enough religion now".
