He played this song on the live CD recorded at the Birdland in 2000. He did such a phenomenal job on that tune he made it a signature solo....like Carlos Santana's "Europa" and Jimmy Page's "Since I've Been Loving you".

hes so great, lol. I love his sound almost as much as Stochelos. He is more of a real gypsy cuz he actually plays the real gypsy songs.

It's on the CD " Django Festival Birdland" 2000 but then Jimmy only played it as an instrumental. The song is called "Bei Dir war es immer so sch
ön" but it's called "Pash tute" in gypsy language.

Great. Thanks. I think Jimmy and Mr. Oberg here should make more music together lol. They are a wonderful team. More singin' from Jimmy :P When my dad met Bireli and found out he sings too...lol I was amazed by both of them.

When any of the top 10 best guitar players to ever live get together and play, the end result is like this...breath taking. Andreas, please get Jimmy to make a new CD with you lol, you guys are a wonderful team. Also, Andreas, are you roma? Lordkazama86 and I are both Gypsies. Come over sometime and I'll make you stuffed cabage and he can make you Balachincies (creps). He told me his mom makes the best.

Singing leaves a lot to be desired here though. Hi soloing is just out of this world though... Beautiful! Now I wonder is it possible to play at this level even if you had talent (not me) starting as a 37 year old working 9 to 5? hmmm... I guess the answer is... Help me here folks I wanna play some gipsy jazz... ;-).

What do you mean 'singing leaves a lot to be desired'? Unpolished heart felt singing from this genius is... I can't describe it. Okay, I know what you mean. But this is special man. It's not about meeting a standard. Don't think of it as singing. Think about it as the raw and unprocessed sound of a beautiful tortured soul.

And Jimmy's voice.............It's beautiful and I love it!
I saw two of his live performances last year and I was really hoping to hear him sing. He didn't but that's ok anyway. To hear and watch him play the guitar was fantastic!
I hope he's back to stay!
