beautiful layback, I love the speed and sureness of her skating combined with this newfound grace and gentleness. The double axel at the end seems to come out of nowhere!

this is already one of my favorite programs of all times, and it's still the beginning of the season. i love it. i keep watching it over. i love this music, and her skating is beautiful.

1) Love the improved ride-out on jumps! Much better
2)Her (f)lutz is less noticeable than it was at the end of the season
3)Love the moment when she enters into the spiral sequence; that's going to be magical later in the season.

I completely agree. But about the dress; I think it's actually a practice dress; there's pictures of her in the dress at past season's Worlds practice. (at least I think it's the same dress; they're on her website if you want to check) But I agree it looks pretty. She does like pink, I think, so the actual competition dress might very well be pink as well.

good for her =) i've been waiting for a lyrical program from ashley for a while and this is exciting! Its different from her usually sassy jazz/tango pieces and i'm glad she's moving away from her comfort zone.

The music and interpretation is definitely better than years prior, and the coaching change has really made a significant improvement in her skating, but I feel like she's just putting in flailing arm movements without feeling the music. Rachel Flatt did a better job of that. And Ashley still needs to work on her tranisitonal movement and steps-- they're a bit rough.

You can definitely see how hard Ashley has worked to become more graceful, and it's paying off! She's not quite there yet, but she has made huge advances! Her jumps and spins are great as always, and I love love love her hair up in that sophisticated bun. The pink dress really suits her as well. She's an all-around beautiful girl. It sure will be one heck of a showdown with the ladies this season! Can't wait to watch.
