Causing a scene & being a fucktard is not enough reason to be tased. He had a right to be on public property. He posed no threat to anyone & broke no law. They overstepped their authority & because he wouldn't obey them, they used a taser to physically force him to comply w/ tyranny. They should be punished for harming an innocent man. The cops are not the law, they only enforce the law & he broke no law. We can't force our idea of proper conduct onto others who are not breaking the law.

is it illegal not to comply with social norms?
It's illegal to act ... ( 1 week ago by thebatman7465)
It's illegal to act like a jackass in a public school forum and disrupt it, yes.
Yes he did break ... ( 1 week ago by thebatman7465)
Yes he did break the law, he disrupted a school forum when he rushed the microphone the first time and caused a scene. Kerry was kind enough to talk the police into letting him stay and ask a question. Then when the moderators of the event had enough of his crap again they cut his microphone off and told pd to remove him, of which meyer caused an even bigger scene and resisted the removal, which now escalates into being arrested of which he resisted and was tased. Sorry, you're wrong.

Back in my day when we disrupted class, we got detention. Thank God the teachers didn't have tasers! Of course parents/teachers were allowed to discipline their children without going to jail for doing so.
This whole thing is ... ( 1 week ago by armyofNorthVirginia)
This whole thing is the governments/lawyers fault for restraining parents from physically discipling their children. Now the children have more rights than the adults. Children can cry abuse and have their parents arrested. Cops have way more to deal with now because the younger generation has no discipline/respect for their elders or for anyone with any given authority.
He was just asking ... ( 1 week ago by loeverate)
He was just asking his question, so what if he rushed to the mike. Any "disorderly" conduct is grounds for physical restrain & violence? This is tyranny. We don't need a Police State to prevent people from acting like a jackass, anyone who thinks the officers had reasonable grounds to initiate violence here is a jackass. Just because it's a school forum doesn't mean they can prevent him from asking his question, even if it does cause a bit of a scene.

I looked that up. It appears to be rules, not laws. Are universities lawmaking entities?
Disorderly conduct ... ( 6 days ago by thebatman7465)
Disorderly conduct is a law, an arrestable defense, of which he committed. Then resisted arrest.

They didn't initiate violence, Meyer did when they tried to escort him out of the event and he violently yanked away from them and then resisted arrest.

Is it impossible to confront a person like this about issues like these in a public forum, then?
He shouldn't have ... ( 5 days ago by blackrook21)
He shouldn't have been escorted away for asking questions in a public forum. Kerry wouldn't have fielded questions if he had no intention of answering them. The manner in which the kid was asking them was a little extreme, but not immoral or illegal.
Once again, he was ... ( 5 days ago by thebatman7465)
Once again, he was not kicked out for the questions he was asking, he was kicked out for his behavior. He was allowed to ask one question and have it answered, those were the rules, he wasn't supposed to be even asking a question because they were taking the last question when he interupted the student asking it and started yelling "This is bullshit! Why won't you answer my questions!!!" SO Kerry graciously asked the pd to let him stay and then he acts like a jackass again.
Why don't you watch ... ( 5 days ago by thebatman7465)
Why don't you watch all the angles of the event such as they are titled here on Youtube
"WUFT Video Andrew Meyer Taser UF police violence brutality" "UF Police Taser Student During Kerry Forum" posted by honeybun523 and finally "UF Student tasered at John Kerry Speech" posted by fozzymandias. Watching all these different angles really gives you a perspective of how this idiot was
really acting. Also google witness statements and police reports about the event.
the WUFT video ... ( 5 days ago by thebatman7465)
the WUFT video shows just after Meyer interupted the forum like a jackass and Kerry scolding him for it. I wish someone would post his entrance where he totally acted like a fuckhead interupting the forum, it doesn't show that of course, so all anyone sees is him getting escorted away from the microphone by the police. That's the giant misconception. DO THE RESEARCH PEOPLE!!!!
NO it's not ... ( 5 days ago by thebatman7465)
NO it's not impossible, do it in a civilized manner and let the man answer your questions one at a time instead of firing them one after another and not letting him even talk! Did you notice in any of the videos that when meyer is asking Kerry to read the book that he brought, Kerry says he has it and already read it. Kerry is trying to answer questions, but Meyer won't shut up, and when he uses the word Blowjob, that's when they've had enough of his bullshit and cut his microphone off.
