Because it was bloody rubbish. I'm not a prude or anything (quite the opposite, I'm a bit of a perv to be honest) but women flashing their thighs and flaunting their bodies does not mean that the song is instantly great. Our 1997 entry (which won) was a far better example of real music that had proper thought and talent put into it.
