He doesn't look like a movie star, for sure. But I bet he could get any woman he wanted, simply through the sincerity and emotion of his voice. Who needs perfect looks when you have that kind of "power"? And of course, he's not trying to be a movie star, he wants to sing, and I think he's doing an incredible job of that!

The man has a pleasant, untrained light tenor voice, suitable for pop music. He could never sustain a role like Calaf on stage, especially without amplification. Twenty years from now, at age 56, most tenors are at the end of their careers. Even if he had begun training at age 16-18, his instrument is simply not suited for operatic singing.

He's a heart to heart singer. You have to get totally out of your head, let go and feel. Some people aren't able to get out of the mind, though. A pity, since music is not a mental thing at all.

People like this guy because he is in a way very natural and his approach to opera is quite unique and natural too. He takes opera from its elitest rank and brings it to the ordinary teenager.
