Roper, have you ever seen her live, been in the same room with her when she played, or experienced her personality? I have, and I can assure you that her playing is by no means empty.

Yes, I've seen them both live, playing separately and together. I've heard her in several solo recitals (in the 1980s, when she did them) and two concerto appearances and her playing is far from empty. It is electrifying in parts and serenely beautiful in others. I have never heard a more truly ravishing live performance of Gaspard de la Nuit than hers.

What a truly weird comment. This isn't even a real rehearsal. She's trying out the piano, the hall acoustics, working with the conductor. You clearly have no clue about what kind of preparation goes into performance. No artist plays full throttle all of the time, nor should she.
