Video Description:
This video was filmed in Jakarta Indonesia, at the time of the 1997 election. It shows a procession by supporters of the PPP, the Moslem political party. At that time, the PPP had the support of some of the followers of the party of Megawati. Indonesia is the biggest Moslem country in the world. Secular parties have always won the general elections. During the 1997 election, over three hundred people died in various incidents. General Suharto's group won 70% of the vote.

| When the elections are less fixed than normal, militant Moslems get less than 3% of the vote. The first President, Sukarno was toppled by the CIA. The second president, Suharto was put into power by the CIA and allegedly toppled by the CIA and its friends. Presidents Wahid and Megawati were undermined by the American trained army. Now they have General Bangbang. |
