Combining equal parts folk, rock and Americana, NYC singer/songwriter JOE WHYTE's songs are riddled with, "time tested melodies". For the past 2 years, Joe has been a recipient of an ASCAPlus award, a merit-based songwriting grant from ASCAP, the performing rights society, and named a semi-finalist in Discmakers/Taxi Independent Music World Series. In addition, Joe signed an endorsement deal with Elixir strings, showcased with his band at the CMJ Music Marathon in NYC and had music placed in the PBS show "Roadtrip Nation", which aired on over 70 PBS stations. Over the years, Joe has played with such acts as Son Volt, The Frames, Josh Ritter and Toby Lightman to name a few.
