This is a music video I made with the song 'run' by Snow Patrol, it features the amazing Christian bale in the movie 'Empire of the Sun' which I recived for my b-day. Christian was only 13!, but he still looks the same and adorable. He's one of my favorite actors so I decided to show off what talent he had even at that young age, enjoy. Please Comment.

ahhhhhh I love this movie to death and back. christian bale is soo amazing in this. for just thirteen he did a gut wrenching job some people couldn't achieve in a lifetime. the part where he screams for his mother is absolutely heartbreaking. and his looks are subtle, which makes them fantastic.
this music video really gives justice to a wonderful movie. using grayscale was a really nice effect. bravo!

i agree with you. . im totally baffled by some of the other actors that get academy awards that dont even do half of the job that he did in here. . . he definately should have gotten one for this performance!

He definately should got a nomination for this movie. This movie came out in 1987 his first feature length movie. I wonder how long it will take Hollywood to realize Bale deserves an Oscar?

First I read the book and then I saw the movie. One of the most poignant scenes was at the end when He finally sees His parents again. It always brings tears to my eyes. I saw this scene in a posting on YouTube called an Alternate ending. I love the music that was played but in one scene they were playing a record by Al Bowlly a famous singer with the Ray Noble band called South of the Border You can also find it on YouTube.
